I'll be honest, I think Metroid prime is the game with the best fucking soundtrack ever, why ? Because each song is so atmospheric and it always fits perfecty with the area it's in or the boss you fight.

I might actually have to name every goddamn song of the trilogy, well the first game at least.

But let's start right away.

Title Screen
With a music like this and the inside of a metroid for a menu, you knew right away you were going to play some awesome shit. Especially the main part where the song is "whistling" kind of.

Menu Selection Theme
Already another beautiful piece of art. It notice the voices in the background representing the chozos.

Parasite Queen Battle
The song here is even more badass than the boss itself, wich is quite easy, but each time I listen to it it makes me think of a huge thing hanging from the cieling and moving with the rythm of this song.

Tallon Overworld
You just arrived on the planet, and you can only see a jungle with flourishing a vegetation, once again this song makes me think of this. Itreally starts at 1:36. This song makes me think of the exploration of a jungle beyond this point, wich is what is happening, It might be because I played the game several times, but fuck it it's awesome, and it is also a very calming song.

Chozo Ruins
It took me time to actually like this song, but I like the theme of these abandonned ruins.

Flagraa Battle
This theme is awesome, it's a shame that the american version of the game only features the first part of the song.

Magmoor Caverns
This is a remix of Ridley's area in Super Metroid. And it is quite catchy, the difference is that this version is more atmospheric. It seems like it is being sang by the Chozo themselves. Also is it me or with each beat it makes me think of bits of lava jumping around ?

Phendrana Drifts
The female singing of this one is awesome, another very calming sound from Metroid Prime. It makes you think of icy plains.

Phendrana (Chapel of Elders)
This song is more imposing and religious sounding as it inside an icy chapel.

Phendrana's Edge
A more catchy theme for another area of Phendrana that is a little bit less cold. It also plays in a cavern, the crystal sounding notes helps to add this "cavern" feeling.

Thardus Theme
Another awesome boss theme, it really represents well the big mass of rocks that Thardus is. There is a part of the song that sounds massive and the other piano part sounds more creepy, like mist.

Space Pirate Battle Theme
Each time you hear that sound in that dake base, you have to feel frightened, because you never know where the pirates might lurk.

Phazon Mines
A very atmospheric sound that makes you think of a facility processing things.

Omega Pirate Battle
Note the parts taken from the Phazon Mines and these other sounds that come later that reminds you of phazon, it clearly is a perfect theme for this giant phazon modified space pirate.

Meta Ridley Battle
Isn't it that annoying that this fucker seems to come back just when you forget about him ? (In fact it shows great storytelling but yeah) Oh well let's go place those last artifact-HOLY FUCK A GIANT ROBOT PTERODACTYL. Awesome theme for Meta Ridley, it sounds mechanic.

Metroid Prime Battle
When you hear this sound you immediately shit bricks because you know this is it, the last battle. It dosen,t give you a second to take your breath.

Metroid Prime's Essence
Notice how the beginning is a remix of the main theme. Overall not the best boss fight but you got to admit that unleashing the phazon beam on this fucker was oh so satisfying.

Metroid Prime 2 Theme
An awesome remix of the first metroid theme, wich got a more "metal" feel to it.

Metroid Prime 2 Menu Selection
I like how every kind of sound in the metroid prime songs seem to represent something, in here we can clearly hear notes that reminds you of light, insects. It reminds you of the Luminoth.

Vs Federation Troopers
This is a great and unique theme for the zombie space federation troops. When ou play the game for the first time it creeps you out.

Chykka Larva Battle
Chykka Adult Battle

Quadraxis Battle
Best boss fight of the Metroid prime series, along with Thardus.

Rundas Battle Theme
You can almost feel Rundas's struggle in the music and during the fight.

Gandrayda Battle Theme
A theme that starts off lightly but then that sounds heavier after some time. Awesome theme overall.
